Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all tuition services provided by Bright Education London ("we", "us", "our"). By enrolling a student or using our services, parents/guardians and students agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Tuition Services

  • Tuition may be delivered in-person or online, as agreed at the time of booking.
  • Lesson length, frequency, and format will be confirmed in advance.
  • Tutors are qualified, safeguarding trained, and Enhanced DBS checked.

3. Fees and Payment

  • Fees are communicated prior to the start of tuition.
  • Payment must be made in advance unless otherwise agreed.
  • Late or missed payments may result in suspension of services.

4. Cancellations and Missed Lessons

  • A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel a lesson.
  • Lessons cancelled with insufficient notice may be charged in full.
  • Missed lessons without notice are non-refundable.
  • If a tutor cancels a lesson, an alternative session or a credit toward future classes will be offered.

5. Student Conduct

  • Students are expected to behave respectfully towards tutors and staff.
  • Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in termination of tuition services.

6. Online Tuition

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring students have appropriate supervision during online sessions.
  • Sessions may be delivered via approved platforms only.
  • Recording of sessions is not permitted without written consent.

7. Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All staff follow our Safeguarding Policy at all times.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.
  • While we aim to support academic progress, we do not guarantee specific outcomes or examination results.

9. Data Protection

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate tuition services with reasonable notice if these Terms & Conditions are breached.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website and in the centre as well.

Safeguarding Policy

1. Statement of Intent

Bright Education London is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We believe that all students have the right to learn in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All tutors and staff
  • Clients, volunteers and contractors
  • All students under the age of 18

3. Legal Framework

This policy is informed by:

  • Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
  • Working Together to Safeguard Children
  • The Children Act 1989 and 2004
  • UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

4. Safer Recruitment

  • All tutors undergo Enhanced DBS checks
  • Identity and qualification checks are completed
  • Safeguarding training is mandatory and regularly updated

5. Code of Conduct

Tutors and staff must:

  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times
  • Avoid one-to-one situations where possible without visibility
  • Communicate only through approved channels
  • Never share personal contact details with students

6. Online Safety

  • Online sessions are conducted on approved platforms
  • Tutors must ensure appropriate language and behaviour
  • Parents/guardians are encouraged to supervise online sessions

7. Recognising Abuse

Staff are trained to recognise signs of:

  • Physical abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Sexual abuse
  • Neglect

8. Reporting Concerns

  • Any safeguarding concern must be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
  • If a child is in immediate danger, emergency services will be contacted.

9. Record Keeping

  • Safeguarding concerns are recorded accurately and confidentially.
  • Records are stored securely and shared only on a need-to-know basis.

10. Confidentiality

Information is shared only where necessary to protect a child or meet legal obligations.

11. Review of Policy

This Safeguarding Policy is reviewed annually or in line with changes to legislation.
